[…] Understand something, though: this probably sounds like we’re criticizing Reznor for his huffy departure and sheepish return, but we really aren’t. Part of Reznor’s whole social media experiment was to pull the curtain back and reveal what he’s really like these days, and those tweets showed him to be a fairly regular dude - he loves his girlfriend and reps Grizzly Bear. And, like many regular dudes, he is prone to getting annoyed by obnoxious people on the internet. Who among us hasn’t wanted to quit with all the idiocy going on out there? Hell, we’ve done the same thing ourselves, only to realize we really just don’t have that much else better to do. So don’t sweat it, Trent, there’s no shame in returning. We’re glad to have you back.
